My name is Edelgard, and I grew up with the Bible. It was my habit to read a section from a Bible reading plan every day and to talk to God. Often, it was just out of routine, and my prayers sounded more like reciting a wish list. But many times, it was also because I was genuinely seeking God.

I read through the Bible for the first time after reading the novel “Gone with the Wind.” At the time, my mother said: "So many pages; you could have read through the Bible instead." I was probably around 17 then. That became my challenge...

To this day, God’s Word and conversations with Him give me guidance, strength, and confidence for my daily life.
